What to do as a SAHM

Now that I have all of those pesky hours back that I use to spend working, what do I do? Well, my house is cleaner and stays cleaner longer. Mostly because I literally can follow my two youngest ones and pick up after them. Although picking up after them consist of them undoing what I just did so I can re-do it. The house has a deeper clean, meaning like under the actually furniture, not just around it and things are starting to become organized. Actually organized and not just separate piles of stuff that I would call organized chaos from before. Such things as the dirty clothes pile and clean clothes pile no longer exist. While I seem to always have at least one load of laundry to do, the clean stuff actually gets put away! I also get to teach my two year old a lot more. Everything from how to use the vacuum and do basic chores (which was honestly his idea) to learning how to write his ABC's, and what thunder is during a thunderstorm. Speaking of thunder, a cute side story about my two year old and thunder:

It was in the middle of the day during a thunderstorm. Myself and my two littlest boys were watching the storm from the window. I was explaining to them what thunder was. Later in the day my two year old tells his dad that he learned about thunder...

Dad: "oh yeah, does it make a loud BOOM noise?"
2 y\o: "No dad, it says IM GONNA EAT YOU" he says in a low rumbling voice and dead serious.

Dad and I just cracked up laughing and though well, if this is what my two year old hears when there is thunder it explains a lot about why he is scared of it. :)

Other new things I have taken on that work got in the way of is doing more home cooked, from scratch meals. I have even started making home made bread! Although I won't be opening a bakery any time soon, I am starting to expand on my abilities. For example, tonight I will be really stepping outside of my norms and trying to make a Crawfish Ettouffee, wish me luck!
